What Are CAQH Credentialing Services?
CAQH credentialing services manage the provider information stored in the CAQH Provider Data Portal, formerly called CAQH ProView. This includes profile registration, data entry, document uploads, payer authorization, corrections, attestation, and ongoing updates.
CAQH does not approve providers for insurance networks. It gives authorized health plans access to standardized provider data. The insurance payer reviews that information and makes the final credentialing, contracting, and enrollment decisions.
Complete CAQH Profile Support for Healthcare Providers
A missing document, expired license, incorrect NPI, or old practice address can stop several payer applications at once. Codixa RCM reviews each profile against the provider’s current records before the information reaches insurance companies.
Do you need a new CAQH profile?
We register your account, enter your provider details, and help obtain your permanent CAQH Provider ID. You will need an individual National Provider Identifier, or NPI Type 1, before completing most profile sections.
Is your existing profile incomplete or outdated?
Codixa RCM checks your demographics, education, work history, licenses, specialties, practice locations, hospital affiliations, and malpractice coverage. We identify missing details and correct conflicting information that may delay a payer’s review.
Which documents must be uploaded?
Common records include a state license, DEA certificate when applicable, board certification, malpractice insurance, current CV, education history, training records, W-9, and hospital privilege information. Document needs can change based on provider type and payer requirements.
How do insurance payers access your information?
A complete profile is not useful if the right health plans cannot view it. We review payer authorization settings so approved organizations can retrieve the information needed for credentialing and recredentialing.
Who keeps your CAQH profile current?
Providers generally need to re-attest their data every 120 days. Codixa RCM tracks attestation dates, license renewals, malpractice expiration dates, address changes, and other updates that could make the profile outdated.

Our CAQH Credentialing Process Trusted by Providers Nationwide
Codixa RCM follows a controlled process instead of submitting information as soon as documents arrive. Each stage helps find errors before a payer uses the profile for its credentialing decision.
What happens during the initial profile review?
We first confirm your NPI, provider type, specialty, practice structure, locations, and target payers. We then inspect the existing account or create a document list for a new profile.
How is provider information checked?
Our team compares the CAQH entries with licenses, malpractice coverage, tax records, CV dates, NPI information, and practice documents. For example, an address or taxonomy mismatch can prevent a payer from matching your application to your profile.
When is the profile attested?
The provider reviews the completed information before final attestation. Once the data and documents are current, we complete the required workflow and confirm that selected health plans have permission to access the profile.
What happens after profile completion?
We record the attestation date and monitor upcoming document expirations. If you also choose payer enrollment support, Codixa RCM can prepare payer applications, track follow-ups, and monitor the effective date separately from CAQH profile management.

What Healthcare Providers Say About Codixa RCM
Verified client feedback should show how Codixa RCM handled a specific problem, such as an expired attestation, incomplete work history, or delayed payer application. Each published review should include the provider type, service received, and measurable result when the client permits it.
“When we expanded our multi-specialty clinic and brought on three new physicians, the credentialing paperwork became a massive bottleneck. We were losing thousands of dollars in billable time waiting on payer approvals. Codixa RCM stepped in and completely took over. They got our new doctors fully credentialed and enrolled with Medicare and all our major commercial payers in a fraction of the time it used to take us in-house. Their weekly reporting is transparent, and they simply don’t let applications stall. I highly recommend them to any growing practice.”
Sarah T.
Practice Administrator, Advanced Family Medicine
“As a solo practitioner, I was spending up to 15 hours a week chasing down denied claims, correcting coding errors, and dealing with billing headaches instead of focusing on patient care. Since outsourcing our full revenue cycle to Codixa RCM, my claim denial rate has dropped to under 3%, and our accounts receivable is the healthiest it has been in five years. They even handled my recent CAQH re-attestations seamlessly. Partnering with Codixa RCM gave me the peace of mind to just be a doctor again.”
Dr. Marcus Reynolds
MD, Internal Medicine
“Navigating collaborative agreements for our Nurse Practitioners and managing complex payer matrices was constantly stalling our clinic’s growth. We partnered with Codixa RCM for their credentialing maintenance and APP enrollment services, and it has been a game-changer for our operations. They track all our state licenses and expirables, proactively manage our Medicare revalidations, and their billing team ensures our submissions are clean on the first pass. They don’t just feel like a vendor; they operate like a true extension of our team.”

CAQH Credentialing FAQs
These answers explain the most common concerns about CAQH registration, profile maintenance, payer access, costs, and enrollment.
No. CAQH does not credential or approve healthcare providers. It collects and stores provider-submitted information in the CAQH Provider Data Portal and shares it with authorized healthcare organizations. Insurance companies and other participating organizations use this data to conduct their own credentialing reviews. The payer verifies qualifications, decides whether to approve network participation, and assigns the effective date for in-network billing.
CAQH’s organization is now presented as DataSpring, powered by CAQH. The provider platform continues to use the name CAQH Provider Data Portal, while many providers still recognize the former name, CAQH ProView. Existing profiles and CAQH Provider IDs remain part of the credentialing workflow.
Providers generally must review and re-attest their CAQH information every 120 days. You should also update the profile whenever a license, practice address, employer, malpractice policy, phone number, or other material detail changes. A lapsed attestation can pause an active payer review.
Most providers need an active state license, current CV, malpractice insurance certificate, education and training history, board certification, NPI, practice details, and hospital affiliation information. Some providers also need a DEA or CDS certificate. The exact document list depends on specialty, location, and payer requirements.
The setup time depends on document readiness, work-history details, practice locations, and existing errors. A complete file can often be prepared faster than one with missing records or conflicting data. CAQH profile completion should not be confused with payer credentialing, which follows the health plan’s own review timeline.
Yes. Healthcare providers can register and maintain a CAQH profile without paying the platform. A CAQH credentialing service charges for the work involved in collecting records, entering data, correcting errors, uploading documents, completing attestations, managing payer access, and monitoring future updates.
Traditional Medicare enrollment normally runs through the Provider Enrollment, Chain, and Ownership System, known as PECOS, rather than CAQH. However, commercial insurers and many Medicare Advantage plans may request CAQH data. Your payer list determines whether you need CAQH, PECOS, or both systems.
Yes. Codixa RCM can review an existing account, correct outdated information, upload current documents, address incomplete sections, update payer authorization, and track re-attestation. The provider keeps ownership of the profile and reviews the information before any required final confirmation.
Common causes include an expired attestation, missing malpractice coverage, incomplete work history, conflicting addresses, incorrect NPI data, expired licenses, or blocked payer access. Codixa RCM checks these areas together because one mismatch can affect every insurance company pulling information from the same profile.
No. A complete and attested profile only makes your information available for review. You may still need payer credentialing, contracting, enrollment, roster loading, and a confirmed effective date. Do not submit in-network claims until the insurance company confirms that the provider is active and billable.
